Point Three:
(A.) starts in a
right stance, having stepped to set up there at the end of #2.
(D.) starts in a
Left stance
(A.) Steps in and
punches left,
(D.) steps off at
an off angle to his right and blocks the attack with a right palm
heel (shotei uke) sweeping to the left
(A.) Steps in and
punches right, after (D's) counter, (A) steps back to a left
Sanchin stance (Sanchin dachi) as he clears to ready position
(D.) steps at an
off angle to his left, wauke right, then executes a right shomen
geri (Zenkoto) to (A's) rib area, returning the kick, however, to
a rear position so that he ends in a left stance.
(A.) steps back
two steps ending in a left Sanchin
(D.) steps
forwards two steps as (A.) steps back.
(A.)will always
clear to the sanchin which is correct for him to start his
offensive work on the next point. This note should help in
recalling the logic of the Kumite when clearing and stepping as
attacker.
Point Four:
(A.) starts in a
Left Sanchin
(D.) starts in a
left sanchin
(A.) steps in and
Punches right
(D.) Steps back
and blocks wauke right.
(A.) Steps and
punches left, then delivers a left side kick
(D.) Steps back
to a left stance, blocks wauke left, then clears ths kick with a
left low area sweeping block, (D.) then slides in as necessary to
control (A's) arm or shoulder or elbow, and counter punches to
(A's) head (Kiai!)
(A.) Clears by
bringing his left foot back around to a right stance, then, as
(D.) steps forward twice, (A.) steps back twice.
(D.) returns to the original center line of the kumite, then steps in forward twice.
