Point Three:

(A.) starts in a right stance, having stepped to set up there at the end of #2.

(D.) starts in a Left stance

(A.) Steps in and punches left,

(D.) steps off at an off angle to his right and blocks the attack with a right palm heel (shotei uke) sweeping to the left

(A.) Steps in and punches right, after (D's) counter, (A) steps back to a left Sanchin stance (Sanchin dachi) as he clears to ready position

(D.) steps at an off angle to his left, wauke right, then executes a right shomen geri (Zenkoto) to (A's) rib area, returning the kick, however, to a rear position so that he ends in a left stance.

(A.) steps back two steps ending in a left Sanchin

(D.) steps forwards two steps as (A.) steps back.

(A.)will always clear to the sanchin which is correct for him to start his offensive work on the next point. This note should help in recalling the logic of the Kumite when clearing and stepping as attacker.

Point Four:

(A.) starts in a Left Sanchin

(D.) starts in a left sanchin

(A.) steps in and Punches right

(D.) Steps back and blocks wauke right.

(A.) Steps and punches left, then delivers a left side kick

(D.) Steps back to a left stance, blocks wauke left, then clears ths kick with a left low area sweeping block, (D.) then slides in as necessary to control (A's) arm or shoulder or elbow, and counter punches to (A's) head (Kiai!)

(A.) Clears by bringing his left foot back around to a right stance, then, as (D.) steps forward twice, (A.) steps back twice.

(D.) returns to the original center line of the kumite, then steps in forward twice.
